  • Gave the home page a slight face lift.  Added a few new pictures and moved Rob's mission statement to a separate page.  Let me know if it's loading way too slowly!
  • You can now order Rob Leatham .com hats and shirts.  Simply go to the "On-Line Store" page and print the order form.  There are photos of the different shirts and hats to look at, too.  I haven't quite finished the actual on-line store ... I just haven't had time to work on it since the holidays began.  Good thing I can't get fired! :-)

  • Posted some "Ask Rob" answers today.
  • Rob won the Rio Salado Desert Classic / USPSA Area-2 Match this weekend.  Congrats to Rob and all of the other winning competitors!  The match was fun, challenging and the props were AMAZING!  Kudos to the entire team of workers that pulled the match together, from the match director, Paul Caudill, set up and tear-down squads and ROs, to the stats ladies (lead by Barb LaMarca), food vendors and Sponsors!  Another fine Classic to add to the collection!

  • Posted an "Ask Rob" answer.
  • Rob gets so many questions about what kind of gun to buy for certain competition that he's going to create a "Getting Started" page.  This will list the guns he would select if he were just getting started in the sport.  Look for this new feature in the very near future!  How's that for vague ... :-)
  • Posted an update to the on-line store.  Looks like this may be the month (and year)!

  • Well, he captured another National title this weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Rob won the IDPA CDP National Championships, shooting a Springfield Armory 1911 .45 ACP!  Maybe he'll give us some of the grueling match details upon his return!  Congratulations to Julie Goloski and Dave Sevigny on their wins also!

What a perfect way to end his nearly-perfect 2004 season.  Rob won everything he shot this year except the Steel Challenge, finishing 2nd in Limited and 6th in Open.  I would bet that he's already over that ... :-)  CONGRATULATIONS, ROBERTO, ON A GREAT SHOOTING SEASON!  Kip
  • Added a link to a web site of a fellow shooter, a friend of a friend, who took some good pictures of the stages and competitors at the 2004 USPSA Nationals.  Thanks, Nate Sayawa, for sharing your experience.   Have a look ...

  • Fixed the on-line "ASK ROB" question form.  Evidently, it has been broken for some time.  I've been fighting problems with the e-mail server, and thought that was the reason Rob wasn't receiving e-mail questions.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Springfield Armory recently honored Four-Star General Tommy Franks with two one-of-a-kind Springfield firearms.  Visit their web site (What's New Page) for the full story!

Springfield has made an awesome gesture to an AMAZING man, General Tommy Franks!  Many inspired, thankful, admiring, and patriotic Americans will remember the thoughtfulness of this honorable presentation!  God Bless our Troops and retired General Tommy Franks for all they have done and all they have yet to do.

  • HE DID IT!  Rob won the USPSA Limited Nationals Championship that was held at PASA Park in Barry, Illinois last week!  He had a bit of a rough start, "dropping" about 45 points (and two magazines) in the "Dark House" stage, but fought back immediately and held on to the lead (or very close to the lead) for the rest of the week.  I'm very proud of his accomplishment.  It was an extremely  pressure-filled match, with many top competitors (Travis Tomasie, Mike Voigt, Manny Bragg, Todd Jarrett, Phil Strader, Taran Butler, Mike Seeklander, Estuardo Gomez, Fred Platt and Blake Miguez) yearning for and capable of the "gold".  On top of the regular match pressure, Rob was trying to win his 15th National Championship to back the aggressive advertising campaign that Springfield had run all year ... how did they know he was going to win?  I could barely stand to watch the last day of competition!  You shot a FANTASTIC match, Robby, and I couldn't be happier for you and your nearly-flawless performance!  XOXO, Kip
  • Added Rob's latest press coverage to the top of this page.

  • Published the date of the next DMSC Certified Event on the Calendar page.
