Hello Rob, I just noticed on your XD9 the new rear-WarrenTactical (fiber optic) sight. They look absolutely fantastic, and I'm sure they provide a better focus on the target. Rob, is the specific sight available yet??.....can I purchase it from somewhere??....If they are NOT available yet, would you be kind enough to sell me your WarrenTactical (fiber optic) sight??....I'll pay triple the price, please let me know. Thank you very much. Nick

Rob,
Sounds like you are as frustrated as I get when I try to go back and shoot handguns! Its just a matter of what you do with your eyes.... get them out ON the target and away from the barrel, or barrel bird relationship.

I just wanted to comment on Lee & Jesse. As I am a local USPSA Match Director of a local Virginia club, in fact i think the first club they ever shot at, I am glad to see two fine young men enjoy themselves and have a chance to be coached by one of the finest shooters in the world. Someday these young men will be at the top of the shooting game.

Hi Rob, my first question is why 40 cal? second question is Techwell claims you have been using their magwell, but it looks like a standard magwell in the photos? My final question is why do you prefer the square trigger guard over the standard round style? do you put your week hand trigger finger on the front side? Thank You =)

I shot the Nationals as my first experience with Drillmasters. This was one of the most well run and fun matches i have ever shot. Class act all the way. Some stages were very challenging, i shot revolver, but all were great.
Thank you for the chance to shoot a great match.

Great info Rob. thank you. i have also been working on heavy bullet, fast powder setups in 45. It is very noticeable in the sound of the shot. Also great info when we spoke at lunch after drillmasters. i found that the lee crimp die was sizing .451" bullets down to .449" in some cases. .358 in super for revolver was down to .355" and loose in the case below the crimp. did some accuracy tests with lee crimp and dillon crimp and was shocked at the difference. I became aware of the lack of accuracy at the last drillmasters, i knew the sights were there on some of the shots that scored poor. groups are at least 50% smaller and in the lighter .358 bullets they are 75% smaller. Thank you for unknowlingly helping me with this.

Rob,

Glad to see you updated the blog, and thank you for posting those insights. I needed to hear this because in my own practice I too often focus on precision to a point where it truly hinders my speed. I need to find that balance!
